COURSE OVERVIEW

This two-part lecture provides a comprehensive review of anterior and posterior implant restorations. Participants will explore key principles in diagnosis and case selection, treatment planning, digital implant planning, restoration design principles, and material selection based on biological and aesthetic considerations. Through case-based discussions, attendees will review predictable digital and conventional workflows, as well as common restorative complications. They will learn strategies to improve both aesthetic outcomes in the anterior zone and functional success in the posterior region.

Dr. Vivia Sequeira began her academic career at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she taught prosthodontic courses in the predoctoral dental program. Her teaching and clinical work focus on prosthodontic education and patient care, with an emphasis on integrating digital technologies into practice. She mentors predoctoral and graduate students, directs the removable prosthodontics course and provides specialized prosthodontic care at the UNC Dental Faculty Practice. A former ACP John J. Sharry Research Competition finalist, her research interests include removable and implant prosthodontics, with a particular focus on digital workflows and emerging technologies.

Tramain Watkins, CDT

Tramain Watkins, BA, CDT, has been working in the dental laboratory industry for more than 35 years. He has extensive experience fabricating analog and digital prosthetics, with expertise in implant-supported and retained restorations. A respected lecturer on both laboratory and clinical aspects of restorative dentistry, Tramain trains technicians and provides clinical support in case planning, troubleshooting and implant placement.
