All-on-X and Compromised VDO:
Pre-Surgical Steps to Reestablish Occlusal Dimension

COURSE OVERVIEW
Many All-on-X candidates present with a compromised vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO), whether collapsed or reduced. It is essential to establish and accurately document the correct VDO. Being critical to the overall success of the case, correction of the VDO must be completed prior to the delivery of the provisional prosthesis.

This presentation highlights proven techniques for determining a new VDO to achieve optimal freeway space while ensuring sufficient restorative space for the definitive prosthesis. It also explores strategies in capturing and communicating the established VDO to the dental laboratory for precise, predictable results.
