The 4-Step Pre-Surgical Implant Protocol:Clarity vs. Surprises
COURSE OVERVIEW
Implant dentistry is commonly defined as a prosthetic discipline with a surgical component; however, predictable outcomes depend on whether or not this principle is fully integrated during pre-surgical planning. Misalignment among prosthetic intent, surgical execution and patient expectations remains a frequent source of treatment complications.
This course will present a structured 4-Step Pre-Surgical Implant Planning Protocol designed for implementation prior to surgical intervention. Participants will examine how comprehensive pretreatment planning can reduce variability, limit unexpected outcomes and support consistent clinical results across multiple implant treatment modalities.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course, attendees should be able to:
■ Describe a proven 4-step pre surgical implant planning protocol and explain how each step contributes to a cohesive and predictable treatment workflow
■ Describe a proven 4-step pre surgical implant planning protocol and explain how each step contributes to a cohesive and predictable treatment workflow
■ Identify key communication checkpoints between the dentist, patient, surgeon and laboratory that help reduce misalignment and unexpected outcomes
■ Evaluate critical clinical and technical considerations that influence implant treatment planning decisions, with emphasis on achieving predictable outcomes while aligning with patient goals
