COURSE OVERVIEW

This course explores the use of intraoral scanning as a diagnostic and patient engagement tool. Participants will examine how digital records can support early identification of oral health changes and enhance patient understanding of clinical findings. Through lecture and hands-on exercises using typodonts, participants will gain practical experience integrating intraoral scanning into everyday clinical workflows and patient conversations.

Brenda has more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, with a background spanning clinical assisting, education and digital dentistry integration. Before joining NDX, she served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, teaching technology integration, intraoral scanning and clinical workflows to students across all levels. She has trained dental teams throughout the U.S. and Canada in impression techniques, retraction, provisionals, photography and clear aligner attachment procedures. Brenda has completed over 3,500 hours of continuing education, holds multiple professional certifications and continues to assist chairside through a military dental contractor.

Recommended Pre-requisites

Prior to attendance of this program, it is our suggestion to have studied:
  • Basic understanding of dental anatomy and oral structures
  • Familiarity with standard dental terminology
  • Current role as a dental professional or dental team member
