Overview of Treatment Options for Full Arch Implant Dentistry

COURSE OVERVIEW

Full Arch Implant Dentistry is constantly evolving. Participants will gain knowledge on how to evaluate an existing denture or overdenture for possible conversion into a fixed prosthesis. They will learn about the considerations and steps necessary for treatment planning and for providing a fully guided surgical and prosthetic approach for fixed All-on-X. The use of Photogrammetry in combination with IOS technology is an additional evolution to deliver a fully digital approach for full arch reconstruction with dental implants.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Identify the key considerations for each of the three prime treatment modalities for restoring a full arch with dental implants
  • Understand how to convert an existing denture or overdenture to a fixed prosthesis
  • Understand the records required and techniques for obtaining them, for treating a full arch with dental implants
  • Have a working understanding of the advantages and limitations for Photogrammetry and how incorporate IOS technology to create a digital workflow

Thomas Kuun MDT, CDT


Thomas, originally from South Africa, trained as a Dental Technician before earning a master’s in Gnathology from NYU. He completed advanced training through SPEAR, Pikos, Misch and other surgical programs, and holds patents in guided surgery fixation. His career includes leadership roles at Nobel Biocare, Materialise Dental and Guided Smile, where he advanced digital workflows and supported clinicians across North America. He also owned a lab that later integrated into NDX. Now back with NDX, Thomas brings full-circle expertise to his role supporting customers and account managers throughout the Northeast U.S. in guided surgery and digital solutions.
